Mixed Citrus Peppercorn Shrub
3-4 blood oranges
1/2c. turbinado or raw sugar
3/4c. apple cider vinegar
Zest blood oranges, lemons, and limes. Juice one of the blood oranges and cut up the rest of the fruit.
Combine sugar and zest and let sit for at least an hour. Mix sugar mixture with fruit and peppercorns and pour the vinegar over it.
Let sit in refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. Pour 1 -2 ounces of shrub in a glass and top with wine, Prosecco or bubbly water.
